Parking Stripe® installation is easy. While simple, it is important to follow the instructions below to prevent Parking Stripes® from failing before stripe removal is scheduled.

Important: Please read these instructions fully before installing Parking Stripes®.

For Best Results

• Temperature must be above 40°F. and below 90°F. If temperature is below 40°F, postpone installation.
• The surface where Parking Stripes® are to be installed must be clean and free of all wax, oil, dirt, moisture and any loose debris.
• Parking Stripes® are designed to be installed on the existing parking stripe paint.
• The backing paper must be removed prior to installation.

Clean the existing parking stripe thoroughly. Be sure to scrub with a stiff bristle brush several times to insure that loose debris is removed (Figure 1). Then use a strong commercial grade blower, and blow off the existing parking stripe (Figure 2). It is extremely important that the ground and painted stripes are clean and dry before proceeding to the next step. If the surface is wet or damp in any way, postpone installation!

The remainder of installation requires two people, with one person on each end of the Parking Stripe®. Make sure that the advertisement on the Parking Stripe® is facing the driver’s side door, enabling drivers to read the message as they step out their vehicles (Figure 3). Then peel off the paper backing (Figure 4).

Hold the Parking Stripe® tautly by all four corners with the adhesive facing down. Begin to apply opposite the curb or center line, which is the end of the stripe where the back of the car would be. Using the existing painted line as a guide, apply a small section of the stripe while covering the painted line completely. The person on the opposite end should make sure the Parking Stripe® is straight and covers the existing painted line as well (Figure 5). With firm pressure, finish applying the Parking Stripe® by sliding your hand down the full length until the entire stripe is down (Figure 6).

Once the Parking Stripe® is in the correct position, drive over the Parking Stripe® with vehicle tires 6 times, going over the stripe 3 times up and down the full length of the stripe. The weight of the vehicle will activate the pressure sensitive adhesive and complete installation (Figure 7).

Note: Once the Parking Stripe® is applied, do not attempt to re-position the stripe!

Removing Parking Stripes®

Simply lift or pry up one corner of the stripe, with a knife or other sharp object, and pull with ease (Figure 8).
